Hey Harry, Biden Has A Deferment Problem

My guess is the odds are against him completing one term. McCain's doctor for the past 16 years, an internal medicine specialist at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona, disagrees. http://www.boston.com/news/nation/ar...t_cancer_free/ Eisboch My 88 year old mother is in "generally good health". The rigors of the presidency, however, take a heavy toll. A very heavy toll. I would not be at all surprised if at some point during the campaign, McCain has to be treated for "exhaustion". Even a very robust 72 year old may be pushing things to do this job. Being one of 100 senators is a far cry from being THE President. Many believe stress often triggers cancer. Someone who has had cancer 4 times obviously is prone to developing it. Being cancer free at the moment is great news, but it's not the whole picture. |

wrote in message ... I have a stepson who has a form of asthma that only presents when he does strenuous excercise. The rest of the time, you would not have any idea that there was a problem. There are also medications and inhalers that are very effective at controlling asthma and relieving the symptoms. Severe asthma attacks are scary. My oldest son (35 yo) is asthmatic and has made a few trips in the middle of the night to the emergency room at the hospital. During his last episode, they measured his heart rate at 180 bpm, laying on the bed. How he made it through 4 years of military service, I don't know. I know he lied during the physical because they never would have let him join had they known. Had he experienced attacks while serving, they would have medically discharged him. Eisboch |

Treatment for cancer is based on a data base of statistical information .... they know that "x" type of drug or "y" type of surgery statistically has had the most benefit. McCain also has a very fair complexion, at a higher statistical potential of getting skin cancer. I think it can be said that McCain has demonstrated a high capability for handling stress. To some, stress can knock one out. To others, it simply invigorates them. Eisboch |

He was also highly motivated to get out after serving his four years. The military is full of people that technically shouldn't be there for various reasons, but they do anyway. Same is true of civilian employment. Eisboch |

You can be elected POTUS and be commander in chief, even after admitting to experimentation with drugs. Confess that when joining the military as an E-1 and you will be rejected. Eisboch |
