Some sort of rationing is not a bad idea. It is at least worthy of
serious discussion by the next administration in open forums.

Are there any limits on what will be rationed?

Be careful rationing is a slippery slope to total control of the
population.

I doubt that most Parkers are seriously fuel efficient so HK should
pay the boat gas guzzler tax.

20 gallons of gasoline a week in the summer would be fine with me.

After considering it, 5 gallons a week is 260/year, a huge amount.
I'd propose 1 gallon/week PER boat and it cannot be accumulated for
more than a quarter because poor people with old cars need the gas AND
the marinas should have to charge a 50 cent /gallon luxury tax. Why
should gas guzzling luxury boaters use gas that poor people need?

I liked my idea better. Those with small, fuel efficient gas sipper cars
or boats should pay more per gallon because they don't need as much.
Those with gas guzzlers pay less because they need more.

Balanced properly, everybody pays the same to support their transportation
needs or recreational activities. What's more fair than that?

It's called redistribution of resources, in the interest of fairness, of
course.

Herring is a slime. Always has been, always will be.

Rationing certainly should be discussed during any Energy Policy for the
United States meetings the Obama administration holds next year, and so
should every other idea, and those meetings should and will be open to
the public and its representatives.

Everything should be discussed openly. Further, the Senate and House
should hold open hearings on all energy issues except those that
specifically relate to real national security matters.

"Everything should be discussed openly", so why is Obama trying to
legally silence those who ask about his relationship with Bill Ayers,
how open is that? Can we trust a party that says they want open
discussion and then uses the legal system to silence their

Why stop with energy. Why not ration housing, food, clothing, health
care. Why not just determine who is worthy and who is not worthy of
attending the best schools. The Soviet Union did this and look at how
well it worked out for them.

Everything should be discussed openly. Further, the Senate and House
should hold open hearings on all energy issues except those that

Representative Jefferson, D-La., should be brought up on ethics charges
in an open session of the full house. The first questions should be
where did the $90K you were storing in your freezer come from.

I'm still waiting for you to tell us what the Republicans are going to
do to help you obtain the medications and health care you need.

Wait...I know the answer: nothing.

Hopefully more than Billary.. Remember, Bill and Hill proping up the
pharmas', promising reform, then shorting the stock, then dumping her
health care plan right on que... Reports say she made over one million
on that short stock scam.

Nice deflection... I have no reason to debate you on any real issue.

You don't have the ability or knowledge to debate me on any political
issue if customary rules of debate/discussion are followed. You're full
of Faux News/Limbaugh bullschitt.

BTW, who are these "20 professionals" who are present at your kiddie
motorcycle races?

Professional what? Trauma surgeons? Burn specialists? Orthopedists?

Wal MArt, yes, Wal MArt has done more for health care reform than all
the Dems put together ever have. Yes, $5.00 for generic prescriptions
is a better thing than any Dem pol has ever thought of.

Ayers was never convicted of a crime.

Further, generally, the anti-war protesters of the Vietnam War era were
the ones on the correct side. Generally, because I'm a Martin Luther
King kind of protester, non-violent above all, and I didn't appreciate
any anti-Vietnam war protests that physically hurt anyone.

He wasn't convicted because of a legal technicality. But, he acknowledged
to the New York Times (in 2001),
"I don't regret setting bombs...I feel we didn't do enough."

I'm aware of the details, and, as I stated, I was a non-violent
protester, and still am.
