Reminds me of the day we had a ceiling of about 700 feet and winds
about
18 kts. We tied a 26' LoPo to a creeper and took it to the local
elementary school to ride it across the black top. At least we wore
helmets. When it was my turn I caught a 40 kt gust and wound up with
the
back of my neck and shins on the same plane as I listened to my deltoid
muscles ripe down my back. We were using an anemometer.
Bored skydivers will do just about anything for a thrill.
FWIW, I shot a 105 at Bristow Manor today. It's off my list. I lost nine
balls. Not a happy camper.

So that explains why you are acting snotty today.

Wait............you always act snotty here.

Been boating lately?

That boat is sitting in his driveway, covered in bird schitt. Seriously.

105!!!

Crikey. He should have stuck with pocket pool. If he groped enough, he
could find a ball. Maybe.

I'm looking for an interesting place to play on the 29th. Got any ideas.
The MOH course is off my list for the time being.

If you're up for a drive, try Blue Ridge Shadows in Luray or Rock Harbor in
Winchester. They're way out west! I love Blue Ridge Shadows, but it's a
pretty good drive, so we don't take that trip lightly.

I just spent the last week feeding the gas sucking pig, 2001 F-150
SuperCrew 5.4L V8, every day. Home to Ocean City, MD to Wilmington, NC
to Ocean City, to Home. I actually bought 15 gallons of gas for $3.45 a
gallon on Sunday in Franklin, VA (Rt. 58 between I-95 and Norfolk).

I am definitely going to get the golf clubs on the motorcycle. I've about
got it figured out. I'll need to buy a muffler clamp, or maybe just a stout
hose clamp.

I have never shot that well. I only gave it up when I hurt my
shoulder, I enjoyed the game. I had a farm and I used to lose twenty
or more 25 cent shag balls a day. The practice didn't help much. Golf
balls don't effect a combine. They are built to handle small rocks.

I have a car that gets about 1 MPH. 1400 pound car with a 600 HP
methanol engine. 7000 RPM 360 small block. It will do a wheelie on
dirt at 80 MPH or so. Sprint cars they call them, and with 4 mile long
races that fits.

Last week, once I warmed up, I shot 10 4" groups offhand at 15 yards
with a friend's new six-shooter. His expensive new six-shooter. I
usually shoot at 25 years, but six-shooters aren't as accurate for me.

Oh, wait...you guys are discussing bad golf scores.

Sorry.

Well that makes me feel better, I guess. I started the stupid game when I
turned 60. In eight months I'll be 65. I'd hoped to be shooting at least in
the low 90's regularly by then. Although I've had a few games in the high
80's, more than half in the 90's (this summer), I'm still frequently
disappointed with a game in the 100's. Today I shot another 105. But it was
a 'four club game' in the group. Tomorrow is a 'real' game. We'll see how
it goes.

Hell, it's about 4 1/2 miles of walking, so it's got to be good!
