I was alone in our two story stick house down there during that hurricane and it was one of the few times I seriously became religious. I wouldn't wish a full blown hurricane on my worst enemy. Strangely enough, my wife and daughter almost traveled this road - according to her - when the tornado hit. She had a 5-hour layover in Warsaw, so her ma wanted to drive her there instead of waiting in the local airport for the flight to Warsaw. Said it would be safer driving than flying in a small plane. My wife chose to fly. Heh. --Vic |
