I ran a direct jumper to the unit from the gauge with no improvements. Any Ideas? If you put a voltmeter across the sending unit do you get a reading? The sender is basically a variable resistor so there should be some voltage there unless the wiring is open some place else. Hook a ground wire to the engine and briefly touch the other end to the wire that you just ran to the sender. The gauge should jump to full. Ignition switch on obviously. If that works your problem is the sender or the tank ground is bad. |
