omc oil tank ficht injector
"Rod" wrote in message news:382817_38e28c3e4b42569bc54a270ef291221f@boati ngforumz.com... Hi, I was replacing my omc oil injector for a 1999 115hp evinrude ficht. I noticed the oil return line had a priming bulb on it but had the direction of the oil to be pumped back to the engine. Is this normal? Im quite confused by it Thanks Rod 8O Are you sure it was the return line? There shouldn't be a ball on that line, only on the feed line, which is the smaller diameter (1/4" I.D.) and comes out of the black rectangular oil pickup assembly. If you were replaceing the oil injector because of a NO OIL alarm, the backwards oil primer ball could have been the culprit. The ball arrow should point towards the oil flow to the motor. You should also be able to squeeze the ball hard and have oil come through the return line (5/16" I.D.) at the tank. Bill Grannis service manager |
