I'll unilaterally declare a truce with hk if'n he stops the excessive

Anyway, things certainly got lively. We had guests from all over .... some local, some from Florida, some from Europe and everybody was whooping it up. Then, a guy I didn't realize was there came up on the deck with his guitar. He's a professional performer ... and took over lead. Unbelievable. I struggled to keep up playing rhythm, my brother (who is actually pretty good) banged away on the drums, my son playing bass and two or three girls singing background to the lead. One of the females (from Florida) used to sing professionally and has a very powerful voice. Anyway, I can't mention our surprise guest, but to say the least, we had a blast. Later in life, I spent about six years living in NE Florida, and many of the rednecks I encountered there were the same sort of brain-dead schitts as, for example, Loogy. But certainly not all of the rednecks I met in Florida were as dumb as a post. All I can say is that it must be swell to have done everything there is to do in life. But, I suppose it could be boring having nothing new to look forward to. |
