I didn't know that.

If you ever tasted one you would be surprised.

I hate atrichokes.

And golf.

And the Yankees (the baseball team that is).

Love artichokes. Big treat when someone remembers to buy one.

Chow down, scraping the artichoke meat off the "leaves", finally getting
to the heart.

Good stuff.

Agreed. Had them 2 nights ago. Try throwing on the grill for a few
minutes.

Just cuz you can't hit a golf ball further with a baseball bat than I
can
with a golf club. 8)

Oh yeah. Forgot about that.

As much as I like Tom, *this* bet he is gonna lose.

Ahem...

I am rethinking - um...attempting to develop a way to effectively say
that I was...er...."incorrect"...no, that's not the word - mistaken -
yeah, mistaken in my belief that I could hit a golf ball further with
a baseball bat than with a golf club.

I'm sure that, Obama like, I can rephrase my original assertion in
such a way that what I was really saying was that I couildn't hit a
golf ball further with a baseball bat than a golf club while not
admitting that I was mistaken about being able to do so leaving the
impression that indeed I could hit a golf ball further with a baseball
bat than a golf club only I can't.

I'll figure it out eventually. :)

Can we chalk that up as a "flip-flop"? I'm confused by your phrasing.

Exactly. :)

*That's* and interesting wager! How will the ball be delivered to the
bat? Tee-ball? The club will win. A pitch? Now you have a challenge!

The 'longest' home run was no more than 650 feet, and that's being most
generous. It was probably less than 550 feet. That's less than 225 yds,
which ain't squat for one who can hit a decent drive. Hell, Lorena Ochoa,
at about 130lbs, regularly pounds them beyond 280 yards.

No wonder you can't hit the green on a par 3. 650 feet = 216 yards, 550
feet = 183 yards.

I can still group a target at 200 yards, with a .303 brit. Oh yeah,
thats with iron sights too!
