I think we can infer from the past tense "was", that things were
exactly as described.

Yeah, since you and the dwarfs turned it into the same pigpen you've
made of this place

As far as I can see it's you and two compadres against the world.
Take a closer look, the vote is not even close. *Incivility begets
incivility.

In this crappy newsgroup, the right wing is in the majority. Mindless as
it is, it has circled the wagons. *Unfortunately, the same schittheads
who ruined this place - the reggies, the dks, the herrings, the loogies,
all of those who really have no interest in boating, jumped onto chuck's
site and turned it into offtopic schitt, too. It'll be mildly
interesting to see what the dwarfs post there in the future...my
suspicion is that it will mostly consist of mindless, innocuous posts
about boats ("what wax did you use?), photos of grandchildren, horses,
et cetera, and veiled insults about other posters or their boats.

Just like rec.boats.

I thought Chuck was going to run a boating-related discussion board. I
apparently was wrong.

I'm a moderator on a boating related discussion board and have been for
four or five years. We have more than 70,000 individual posts. Schitts
like Reggie, Loogy, DK, Herring, Florida Jim, et cetera, last about two
posts and then they are permanently banned, and posters like you, who
make snarky remarks about the boats of other posters, are giving a
couple of warnings, and then they are dumped off, too.

Harry, if it's so crappy here, why are you here, posting almost
constantly?

The 'circling of the wagons' has nothing to do with politics, and there are
more like twenty of them. But, in your shoes I'd try hide the fact that you
and your two compatriots are not well considered - here or there.

John, If you were in Harry's shoes it would be impossible to hide that fact.
He thinks anyone who thinks his personal and political views are a bit hokey
has to be a rightie. The truth is that any normal person; liberal, moderate,
or conservative can easily see that he and his pals are nuts.

Well said. I turned the three stooges loose for a Friday afternoon due
to the top two's binning. I see not much has changed and, if anything,
they are getting more off-topic and more antagonistic. Chuck's place
has been remarkably peaceful and on-topic. Go figure...
