Same here in Central Florida. The frequency of the afternoon showers this
time of year has been way down the past few years. This June is more like
"normal".

Did you record that?

I don't like lightening. Mrs.E. thinks it's cool, but having worked around
high voltage for many years and being seriously zapped a couple of times, I
head for the innermost part of the house when it's around.

A guy got zapped by lightening last week in Scituate. He was kayaking or
something. He survived, but received some bad burns in his head and hands.

I've been hanging out in Scituate since buying the new (old) boat and
bringing it down from the North Shore last month.
My oldest grandson wants to make the trip from Scituate to Kingman on the
Cape and I've been eyeing the weather almost daily for a decent day to go.
It's only takes about three hours, but he's never been on a larger boat on
the ocean and I want his first experience to be a good one. Seems like
everyday it's been heavy fog until late morning, then thunderstorms in the
afternoon. Meanwhile, I've been enjoying the use of a free slip in
Scituate, thanks to the owners of the Mill Wharf Marina, but I don't want to
take advantage of it. Hopefully we'll get a nice, clear day next week and
we'll get underway. To my grandson, traveling down the South Shore coast,
through the Cape Cod Canal and then over to Kingman will be like traveling
across the Atlantic.

You need to talk to Harry and JimH. Taking a child on a boat is FAR
too dangerous of an activity, and there are child endangerment laws to
protect them, according to those two.

We've seen your stupid license plate before. That's some
accomplishment, hey...buying a vanity license plate. Wowser.

Do you actually do anything these days except babysit?

You could put on a vest with lots of bling and get a job as a
greeter at Wal-Mart. Wait...you need people skills for that...

Harry,
You seem very anger recently. You need to take some deep breath and
count to 10. Relax. Maybe some mediation ....
ohhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Drop dead, sh*thead.

See that is exactly what i am talking about, you seem to have pent up
anger that is not good for your health, it can lead to many unhealthy
habits such as overeating and nail biting.

Relax, you will live longer and happier.

Drop dead, sh*thead.

Seems like
everyday it's been heavy fog until late morning, then thunderstorms in the
afternoon. Meanwhile, I've been enjoying the use of a free slip in
Scituate, thanks to the owners of the Mill Wharf Marina, but I don't want
to
take advantage of it. Hopefully we'll get a nice, clear day next week and
we'll get underway. To my grandson, traveling down the South Shore
coast,
through the Cape Cod Canal and then over to Kingman will be like traveling
across the Atlantic.

Updating that vanity plate could get expensive in a fertile family.

Now that comment was in poor taste. If anyone who didn't know you saw
that remark they would think you were an uneducated moron. We know
that you have multiple degrees and speak at least one language. YOU
CAN DO BETTER!
All this pent up frustration and hatred can't be good for your blood
pressure, Harry. Why don't you take a break from rec.boats for a year
or two. Your heart will thank you. Who knows, maybe you will be able
to kick the nail biting habit too.

At 10:12 this morning you said the exact same thing. You are repeating
yourself . That is a sure sign that dementia or alzheimers is setting

You need to talk to Harry and JimH. Taking a child on a boat is FAR
too dangerous of an activity, and there are child endangerment laws to
protect them, according to those two.

Frankly, I have too many things to do and enjoy than to pay attention or
listen to the two Freudian Delights of rec.boats.

Smart man. I used to sit out on my porch and watch the storms come

Something about where I live, my property averages about 1 lightning

We get lighting storms in the mountains at times, but are not that common
here. Except last week. Lots of dry lighting storms. One of the reasons,
we have a state with about 800 fires going. Looks like the midwest sky.

Sure did - I was testing the new camera and the image stabilization
during the last round of T-storms that came through here. As you can
see, I had some trouble with the image stabilization - got it figured
out now.

Pretty cool huh?

I don't like lightening. Mrs.E. thinks it's cool, but having worked around

Doesn't bother me as long as I'm under cover. Like you, I've been
zapped a few times myself including one time when I was on one of my
towers and had a close hit.

One of these days, I'm going to finish up my remote sensor hook up to
my still cameras, head up the hill and take some images while I'm safe
in the truck. :)

A guy got zapped by lightening last week in Scituate. He was kayaking or
something. He survived, but received some bad burns in his head and hands.

Read about that - now that's a little much for me. I see lightning on
the water, I'm heading for the closest land ASAP.
