Stuck trim tab

Hi, quick trim tab question. For the most part my tabs work great. My
problem is my starboard tab is a bit "off". When I retract them both
the starboard does not go all the way up. It has about an inch further
to travel and when I put them both down the starboard goes about an
inch further than the port. So they seem to travel the same distance
but from different starting points. Needless to say in the full bow up
position this leave my port bow down a little. Fluid level is good,
pump is strong. My first thought would be to pull the hose and "bleed"
it out and try to manually lift it all the way up then reassemble.
Anyone ever have anything like this? These are old tabs and I could
not give you the make or model, they are the originals on a 92 Sea Ray
240 CC. Thanks

Try helping it up while someone is retracting them to see if it just
slightly stuck or really stuck. Your idea about diconnecting is another
thing to try. They typically bleed themselves so unless there is a leak
somewhere I would not expect to find air. But disconnecting and manually
lifting would isolate the problem if it is in that cyclinder. Some of them
can be disassembled and cleaned.
