The instruction sheet sez between 1 and 2 o'clock if you are a righty,
and 10 and 11 o'clock if you are a lefty. I am, of course, a lefty. :)

I don't know what the instruction sheet says. I am right handed and like to
have it free to mess with the sounder, gps, radio, drinks, etc. and
therefore use my left hand to hold the wheel. The wheel, on my boat, is on
the port side of the console, so using the left hand comes naturally.
