Did you see the news report today about a California private aerospace company that has developed a totally re-usable rocket powered "airplane" that will take off from a regular runway, then climb to just beyond the atmosphere (something like 37 miles), then glide back to earth? First sub-orbital flights are planned in 2010. You can buy a ticket for 100K. They plan to offer several flights a day. Figured you might want to dust off your checkbook. Eisboch |
