This forum is in its absolute infancy, so early paticipants
can help
influence the character of the final format.

There's a scary thought!

:)
You two birds have already influenced the structure of his forum.
I wish him well.

You mean, *you* are not going to be able to go over there and play
"Stupid Attack Dog," the role you assumed here?

Too bad.

We'll see how long you last.

What's that supposed to mean? Unlike you and a number of others
here, I am interested in boats and boating.

You don't need any help self destructing!

Based upon the posts of yours I have seen here, there is virtually no
evidence you have any knowledge of or interest in boats.

Just to change the subject a little. I think I figured out why your wife
doesn't object to you hanging posters of hot women in your bedroom. Want
to know my theory?

A. I don't.
B. No.

Chuck may have the right idea...if he can keep his mild monitoring fair &
even.
It sure would be nice to have some kind of minimal boating contribution from
these characters who just come here to instigate & disrupt the newsgroup.

Right...they could always google up something and paste it
here...wait...we already have a Reggie! :}

Building a forum designed to appeal to actual boaters.

Categorized format designed to permit members to isolate those posts
most likely to be of personal interest.

The board is sponsored by a random and rotating group of marine
related advertisers, so be forewarned there are commercial messages in
some of the margins. No popups, however. It would be hard to imagine
any advertising as offensive as some of the content in unmoderated
NG's.

Lightly moderated, with one reasonably free-for-all OT board "The
Pumpout".
Spirited discussions from all viewpoints encouraged, but boorish
juvenile name calling and mean spirited personal attacks will be X'd.

Would appreciate some qualified specialists willing to assist in
moderating various categories. Would also appreciate participation
from anybody experienced in "dressing up" a web site with graphics,
etc.

This forum is in its absolute infancy, so early paticipants can help
influence the character of the final format.

Anybody primarily interested in *boating discussion* is welcome. And
heck, you can always come back here and exchange insults with the
resident trolls when the urge to do so becomes overwhelming. :-)
Disruptive trolls will have short life expentancies at

http://boatingforum.proboards91.com

See you there. (or not)

I have a little experience in these type of things. .I have plenty of
suggestions, but I will limit it one in particular. I would not use
all the bells and whistles available right yet with the board, I would
start with one or two forums and split them out as demand requires.
Another issue is of course getting your forum out there, if you
(Chuck) get this thing going at all, I would certainly put a link to
your board on a couple of my sites which get 1000-1500 viewers a week
or so, during the summer months. Good luck and maybe I will stop by.

We do have a plethora of snipers here. Maybe not there. The 2-1/2
boating/fishing discussion boards I frequent would not tolerate a
"Reggie" or a "Florida Jim" or a "Bar" or a "DK" or several of the
others who only come here to take cheap shots.

Yet they tolerate your lies? Sure they do. Keep telling yourself that,

Chuck has designed a category especially for Harry. My guess is that he
won't take advantage of it.
