I need to determine when the snow cover is off the ground, we have to
go off road to load and move a boat. The guy does not want me to tear

Yes, there is. And, the ground's frozen hard. You're probably better off
with snow on the ground, especially if you have 4WD and a low gear range.

Why not call the guy and ask him what shape the ground's in?

Good point. When that snow melts and the ground thaws......... a vehicle
an make quite a mess.
Heck... even my dog makes a mess when the ground is soft & wet.


Even the guy who plowed my driveway couldn't hurt the lawn a couple of days
ago. The big municipal plow is another story. He took out the first 4 feet
back around Christmas. I suspect either cell phone use or cocktails in the
truck.
