She really should consider a long career in the Senate like she originally claimed she had intentions of before she announced her presidential candidacy (which, of course, is after she claimed she had no presidential ambitions). She's a better Senator than she would be a POTUS. The Senate can withstand a few liars, cheaters, deceitful and dishonest people, simply due to the numbers. Eisboch |

Which is a felony. Now, in my own mind, prostitution isn't necessarily a high level crime as such. Morally problematic I agree, but a crime? Eh - not so much. However, in Spitzer's case, he's an arrogant, holier-than-thou prick who wantonly used criminal penalty threats in civil trials and used dirt and personal destruction tactics both in the court room and in politics. He busted high level prostitution rings in largely splashy self promotions of sanctimonious bull**** and his "highly ethical" approach to politics. HA!!! If any politician deserves to hung out to dry, it's him. What's really interesting about this is if he does resign, which seems likely given the circumstances, according to most pundits, his Lt. Governor will have to resign also - can't remember the reason, but he's not capable of being governor. Which means that the Speaker of the House is next in line and that's the guy he tried to destroy in TrooperGate. Irony is so much fun. :) |
