of Georgia I'd consider as a residence is the area between Savannah and
the Tybee Islands, or possibly the Sea Islands area, or, in South
Carolina, Hilton Head or its environs.

In addition to everything else it doesn't have to offer, Atlanta is
about 240 miles from the coast.

You stayed in Atlanta for two whole weeks and it makes you a damned
expert?????
What doesn't Atlanta have to offer, Harry?

Y-A-W-N. As I have stated here on more than one occasion, I don't like
Atlanta. I feed no need to justify my feeling. Further, it serves no
purpose for me to list all the reasons. I've given a couple from time to
time, that piece I swiped and reposted earlier today gave a few more
reasons, and, of course, as I stated, it is 240 miles from the coast.

The fact that a brainless, tasteless, useless idiot like you *likes*
Atlanta is just another reason to dislike it.

You shouldn't feel slighted, though. There is *nothing* I like about
Alabama, Mississippi, or Texas. There are at least areas of Georgia I
find pleasing. *:)- Hide quoted text -

Let's see, in all areas, DC rates consistently WAY lower than ATL.
I'm useless? Harry, I don't have to lie about my accomplishments, or
my parent's accomplishments, or my wife's accomplishments like you do.
I also don't have to constantly lie about what I have. You do.
Tasteless?? Are you kidding? All you do here is call people childish
names and sling petty insults. That's about as low life as a person
can be. That and your obsession with the phallus tells all we need to
know about you. That and your constant lying. What takes the cake is
that you've never lived in Atlanta, but think you know all about it.
You've not given ANYTHING of any substance as to why you don't like
it. I can give you hundreds of reasons it's a great place to live.
But, you are way too closed minded to be able to grasp those reasons.
Answer this. Why is Atlanta one of the fastest growing metro areas in
the country?- Hide quoted text -

Gosh, it is *so* easy to push your start button and initiate the flow of
bile and stupidity.

I don't live in Atlanta because it sucks. I've never wanted to live in
Atlanta. I don't give a damn if you come up with 10,000 reasons why
*you* think it is great. Your reasons are not relevant to me.

Oh. I've never claimed I know "all about" Atlanta. I don't, and I don't
care to know. I don't even like to fly through its airport and when I
have to take a flight with "connections," I try to work it so I don't
have to transfer flights there.

Yeah...and I added some subtle touches to it, too!

"Why is Atlanta one of the fastest growing metro areas in

Yet another reason to dislike Atlanta. Why would anyone want to move to
one of the "fastest growing metro areas in the country"?

I live here. DC has a lot of free stuff, and is a great place to visit.
But, I'll be leaving as soon as we sell the house. Next spring it goes on
the market.

Most people who live there never go see the "free" stuff. I know
people who have been there all their life, never went up in the
monument, never really walked around the Smithsonian and never saw the
fireworks. I went to high school in the 1700 block of G st NW so I did
get a pretty good look around (cheap "field trips" for the school) but
I had still never been to Mt Vernon until my wife dragged me there on
a vacation from Florida. I had seen it from across the river tho ...
does that count?

Mount Vernon's not free any more, and hasn't been for many years.

We hit the free stuff a lot because of visitors. The Smithsonians take up
at least a week, especially with the new one out at Dulles airport. If
you've not seen it, that's a nice one. It's also 'free', but parking costs
about $8, so take a car full.

Next December go on the evening tour of Mount Vernon. You need to get
tickets ahead of time but, it is well worth it.

Sounds like a New Yorker but folks from DC seem to think that is the
center of the universe too. When I moved away it shocked everyone I
knew. Their idea of moving away is to go a little farther up Rockville
Pike but my former inlaws have 3 generations living on South Dakota
Avenue. They bought more houses as the family got bigger but still
have the first one.
