What do you have against soldiers, mostly honorable and brave folks? My dad never talked about the war, but when he dies he wants me to note at his funeral that "he loved his family" and "he was a soldier"... I think the point is that he did not stop being a soldier when he came home from war, he was a soldier for life. Nothing wrong with that. You don't have to be republican to be a soldier either, as I have noted before, my family was heavily involved in the socialist party/movement some decades ago. All of them went to war, and loved their country. Herring whines incessantly. Unsoldierlike. Irony.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Doesn't matter, he served. Someone sent to this me one time, and I kept it.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- What Is A Veteran? A "Veteran" -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America," for an amount of "up to, and including his life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today, who no longer understand that fact. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- I couldn't agree more. --Mike wrote in message ... Harry's gone so far as to make the 'killing babies' charge. Other than showing where they must go to think they've won, their comments have no effect. If someone in rec.boats DARES call Harry out on any of his many, many lies, he hates them for life, and resorts to really shallow and childish name calling and insults. You can add yourself to that list. "**** boy"...how many times did you type that?- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - That wasn't an insult. It was a correct and true statement about the person I was replying to, you. |

Let's me make something perfectly clear: I don't put down your military service *BECAUSE* it was military service. I do it because of who and what YOU are. And, I do it because you don't really understand why you served and what you were sworn to protect. |

If that's the case, it's because you are so disastrously bad at expressing yourself. But, that's not your goal here. Your goal (or your accidental consequence) is to throw as much useless flak as you can. You're very good at it. |
