Sure sounds good, (34 watt power consumption, 1 million to one contrast ratio, super slim etc...) but think I'll wait until Consumer Reports compiles some data and comes up with a rating. Have you had good luck with CR? I have found over the years that when they review a tool or something that I have had for awhile, my opinion is diametrically opposed to theirs. If they like it, I hated it. If they hated it, I loved it. If I thought it was OK, they thought it was OK. Hard for me to use them as a source for reviews, unless I find something that they hate, then I can buy it with confidence. When I was subscribing to it, I did a little survey for my own self and they got it wrong about 8 out of 10 for me. What did it for me was when they hated the Yukon that I was driving. The thing that put it over the top was that they said that the interior and instrumentation was "primitive". What the hell does that even mean? YMMV -- Robert Allison Rimshot, Inc. Georgetown, TX I did get burned way back when I bought my new 1977 Dodge Aspen SW with slant six and auto. Consumer Reports raved on about the 1976 model, but mine felt cheap & junky with lots of visible rust in only 5 short years. (at that time I lived 18 highway miles from the city but did have the car rustproofed by Bondco which went belly up before I could claim) I'll be the only thing working at the end of the 5 years was the slant 6. |

One of the long time assistant harbormasters in Scituate has a beautiful, old, wooden inboard "run-a-bout" that he has meticulously restored over several years. It's powered by a 60's vintage marinized Chrysler slant six and absolutely purrs. Eisboch |

Local farmer has a 220 slant six from a late '60s Dodge something or other for his field truck - a stripped down 50's Ford pickup. I don't know who many hours he has one it, but it's a bunch and it's running just fine thank you very much. |
