Mine was 39. Got a spot of emphysema (sp?), but it's not gotten any bigger
over the past eight years. I'm keeping my fingers, toes, and everything
else crossed.

One of the worse thing's I've ever seen was a friend's dad in Jellico,
TN a miner with black lung before unions made mining semi-safe. He
wasn't over 50 at the time that I knew him, and he parked his car
right next to the house. He would walk to the car from his favorite
seat at the kitchen table, it would be 10 or 12 paces. He would be

Oh, yes indeed! You just couldn't help but feel for the guy. You could
tell there was a real manly man in there.
