Chuck,
What post is this a response to?

None, specifically.

Just thought I would offer this shred of evidence that there could
indeed be a lobsta boat in which Harry has at least enough interest
that it is named after his wife. Maybe. Or Maybe not. I would stop
short of calling "liar, liar" on the lobsta boat. It's tough to prove
the negative, (he doesn't own one) and unless HK steps up to prove the
positive (he does) the only thing the issue will do is keep attention
focused on the issue of Harry's lobsta boat ownership or lack of
truthfulness. As long as there is attention of some kind focused on
HK, about a half dozen people in rec.boats will be satisfied and we'll
see several hundred posts per month about what hotel he's staying at,
what he owns or doesn't own, etc.

There was a more extensive website for this vessel until very
recently, but I notice that it has been moved or taken down.

So take it for what it is, a very minor chance that there *might* be
an embarrassing pothole in the road for folks who climb too far out on
the
"Harry lied about the lobsta boat" limb. And after eight years (!)
it's time, IMO, to move on to something of greater value to the NG.

Harry would love it too!

Actually, if Harry had a lobsta' boat, especially a 36'er, I'm 99.99% sure
we'd have seen umpteen pictures of it.

The lobsta' boat is just an example, Chuck.

I'm guessing Harry will claim he's done this, many times, with a much
smaller boat......

Interesting theory but it doesn't really check out 100%.

Here's a picture of the Karen Sue with the good Captain Nedelka:

http://www.hookemcookem.com/gallery/...?album=9&pos=7

According to the USCG Documentation site, Nedelka owns the boat but
there *are* some discrepencies such as length and year built. It's
possible he runs a second boat for someone else which is *not* named
the Karen Sue but that shoots down the theory regarding the name
linkage with Harry's wife. Another problem is that Nedelka and his
business are not all that close to where Harry lives, or the location
he has previously claimed on the Miles River near St Michaels, MD.

Hehehehehehe.

You think Karen is an "unusual" name for a boat? There probably are
hundreds if not thousands of boats named after women named Karen. More
pertinently, why would anyone think my wife would want a boat named
after her?

Dam strait. Put some rails on er', and she'd make a dam fine fishing
boat in the Erie chop.
