Looks like he outlines the risks fairly explicitly in his promotional material: http://www.scuba-adventures.com/baha...s.shtml#sharks If folks signing up for this adventure sign a release that says, "I know swimming with baited sharks is a very risky activity, one in which I could be injured or killed, but I want to do it anyway..." At what point does the diver, mountain climber, skydiver, hang glider, etc accept personal responsibility for the risks of his or her chosen pastime? Should the legal system "nanny" everybody all the time? Only if the dive operator claimed that the activity was entirely safe and that normal reasonable people should undertake it, (rather than, as the website notes, those looking for an extreme experience) would he be at serious risk for criminal or maybe even successful civil prosecution. IMO. "I never understood why anyone would go to the trouble to write a novel when you can just go out and buy one for a few bucks." -lpogoda That's how I feel about sharks. Buy a DVD of somebody else getting mauled. --Vic |
