A fallen skydiver does not "teach" sharks or airplanes to come closer to humans and kill innocents... It is called assumption of risk. The drug dealer assumes the risk of getting caught by the police, prosecuted and put in prison. The scuba diver who entices sharks to come close assumes the risk of getting bitten or killed. The skydiver is the only sane one of the bunch. Stepping out of a Casa-212, at 12,500 feet, with 20 of your friends with you and turning 4 or 5 points. Dumping the main at 2,000 and swooping in to a perfect one point landing. Only thing better is the last load of the day dumping the main at 6,000 reaching into your jumpsuit and pulling out a beer or two and enjoying the peaceful ride. I sure do miss skydiving. In only one case is wildlife being trained to do something it shouldn't, i.e., eat humans. That's what's wrong with shark baiting. -- John H "All decisions are the result of binary thinking." |

Land on your head once too often? Actually no, I never landed on my head from a skydive. In fact I never had to use my reserve, 1700 jumps all landing on a main canopy. Do you want to read the newspaper articles written about me and my skydiving? |
