There is concern that half of the 5,000 lb satellite may remain intact and hit the earth in a yet unknown area. The plan is to shoot it down before it enters the earth's atmosphere with a missile fired from a US Navy ship. Details at 11. The article stated that they have a "modified" missile they are going to launch from a naval ship in the Pacific. The questions I have is what altitude will the missile intercept the satellite and how long have we been working on this "modified" missile? I can't see us coming up with a "modified" missile, launched from a surface vessel, in just a couple of months that is capable of intercepting an object in space. I believe this is an opportunity to flex our muscles. This is technology we have had for a long time. Remember the three HDD's that Chinese agent took from Alemeda with a slap on the wrist, ( remember the 3 million campaign contribution the Chinese military gave Billary before their final presidential run)? China shot a sattelite down a few months back probably with our technology, we just want them to know we can do it too... |

The Chinese are using our technology, which Bill Clinton illegally gave them access to, Donny! Yeah. That was bad. Almost as bad as the Reagan crew who sabotaged a perfectly planned sting operation which would've stopped Pakistan from illegally buying maraging steel for use in their nuclear weapon program. Crazy presidents. They're such wise guys, ya know? |

You have to do what is needed at the time to ensure your survival. You can think 20 or 30 years in the future but what you do today may mean you don't exist in 20 or 30 years. |

True sometimes, except that in the situation I mentioned, our survival was threatened in no way. We were publicly scolding Pakistan, saying we "suspected" they were making nuclear weapons. Privately, Reagan was helping them build those weapons, while wasting years of intelligence gathering by NSA & CIA. We could've stopped A.Q. Kahn in the early 1980s, before he sold technology to Iran & Libya. Hey...that sounds familiar. |

Apparently it's some version of the missile that has a 11 out of 13 success rate in testing. Love to watch the shot - that ought to be fun to watch. They are going to shoot it down right before it enters the atmosphere. |

Do you have a good place to watch from? You know, if you have em' bust it right over your house, it would probably land on Harrys' LTP...;) |

However, all they had to do was call and I was ready to drag my sea bag out the door and go! Do you see how easy it it to tell the truth Harry? There are no lies in my statements above. My military service is what it is and I don't need to puff it up to make me feel good and impress others. |
