this nice weather got me thinking about planning for a river cruise
this summer. Just for example I was wondering about a trip down (or accross) the Ohio, starting at say, Cave In rock IL (90 mi from home) down to Cairo IL and back here's what the road trip looks like on MapQuest, but you can see a good view of the river as well: http://www.mapquest.com/directions/m...s=il&2z=&r= f The river is pretty wide and deep enough for barge traffic, but I''d like to know where the sand bars are, and to study distances between ports etc. Any links to go to, or even if I need to buy a map is ok with me. Thanks |
