Earthlink was still alive and well the last time I checked my credit

It appears that Embarq telephone service had an arrangement with
Earthlink, and that has been discontinued, so if you have Embarq phone
service, your old Earthlink Account was folded into Embarq.

Sprint decided it didn't want to be known as the local telephone service
provider so they pulled the name Embarq out of the air and said Embarq is
your new provider. Earthlink was the provider of mail and news services.
Sprint/Embarq did something to **** off Earthlink and Earthlink dumped them.
Embarq/Sprint never replaced the newsgroup service and has not been able to
bring their email services back up to the low level of Earthlink. Embarq,
however, now is offering wireless services. Guess who is their backbone
provider?

This pales in comparison to the Democrats scheme to get back in the White
House. The Clintons is merely the goat that is staked out on the White House
lawn as a diversion so that Obama can walk right in the front door. Nobody
will cry foul play though, since we'll just be so thankful that the Clintons
is sent packing.
PS: I'm having a hard time thinking of the Clintons as plural.

That is why "Billary" is becoming so popular.

Has anyone else noticed since SC, Bill is no longer seen next to
Hillary? Even on Super Tuesday's speech he was not on the stage doing
the obligatory posing with the spouse. I would hate to be the staff
person who had to tell Bill that he was hurting Hillary's campaign and
it was time for him to disappear.

He's probably in a different state campaigning for his wife.

Well, that was the impression I got from the message - I could be very
wrong. I'm man enough to admit it.

Weren't they bought out by some firm? Let me go look it up.

It would appear I misunderstood or misconstrued his statement. Hey -
it was late and way past my nap time. Important sentence follows:

"I lost my earthlink usenet acct.when embarq took over, so I
quit posting to newsgroups."

Well, in any case, he lost his news link - that's what he told me -
and he hasn't replaced it.

But he's ok - that's the important thing.

When Embarq was offering that $24.95/month high speed connection (for life)
we signed up. For whatever reason, we received free email from Earthlink. (and
alot of other cool/free goodies.) a few months later, Embarq switched all the cool
earthlink stuff to lame embarq stuff, i.e. email change, lame-ass home page, etc.

I would guess we lost the news server as well. I never depended on it anyway.
