For what? Video taping the other teams coaching staff? So do all the national broadcast networks that televise the games. Furthermore, the "documented" instance happened and ended at the very beginning of a early game this season... like in the first few minutes. The guy with the camera was escorted from the field. Had absolutely no affect on the outcome of the game. If you happen to notice, none of the league coaches, players or team owners are complaining or even talking about it. It would be a forgotten, minor event if it weren't for a certain Senator who happens to be a big time Philadelphia Eagles fan. Who, other than he, are even talking about a Patriot/Eagles game from 2005? For what? The NFL thought it to be serious enough to fine your coach 1/2 million and the team 1/4 million and for the team to lose their 1st round draft pick this year. Did you see this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4ebtj1jR7c Put an asterisk next to all the Patriots wins showing them as cheaters. Dammit. I thought I copied the right link http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3227592 I was kinda wondering what shotguns had to do with the NFL. Eisboch |

Cheating in sports is very subjective. Like Ernie Ervan said to a friend of mine, "if you ain't cheatin' you ain;t trying to win". Sad, but true... True, shading the edges is part of the game, but somewhere if the integrity of the game is brought into question? I don't think this "spygate" reached that level, but it sure does taint Belichick, and, unfortunately, the Patriots, a damn good team undeserving of this. |

They got caught stealing signals. Their is no grey area with cheating.........you are either guilty of it or not. Their record needs to reflect that. Are football players screened regularly for use of "drugs"? |

Hey, I think they should have been made to forfeit the Jets game. That would have silenced all the "perfect season" New Englanders, but then I'm a Jet's fan. I can't believe you are so simple as to believe there is no grey area. Ever notice how *all* the coaches hide their mouths with the play card when speaking into the mike on the sidelines? Why do you think they do that? Shading the edges has always been part of sport. What makes this disturbing is that it is at the organization level. Punish it, and move on. |

No need for insults. Rules are rules. If you break them don't complain about the results. Have you ever heard about taking responsibility for your actions? So who won the Stupor Bowl? NY, I hope. I like Boston, but I LUV NY. |
