Or maybe you meant The Ventures... The Ventures were technically perfect, but they didn't have soul. They are, however, important and not forgotten. Whether they had "soul' or not is completely subjective. They did what they did really well. I'm amazed that on a couple songs he will take the low E string and tune it down to B, back and forth to C,D etc, and play a hard hitting melody on just that one string... |
