SWS,
That was one of the best videos I have seen in awhile.

Two things come to mind when watching that.

1 - There is a base level where everybody, no matter what the politics
and/or personal beliefs, is the same.

2 - The difference is in the details. :)

I first saw the Leningrad Cowboys somewhere in the mid-90's on some TV
show. I thought they were pretty good actually for a cover band.

Have you ever seen the Red Army Chorus in person? Unreal. Beautiful
music. I saw them in the '80s during the spate of "cultural exchange"
stuff that the State Department was doing.

I just picked up a remixed Ventures CD yesterday. Kinda fun to go back to
one's youth once in a while. I had a small acoustical guitar when the
Ventures were popular in which I mounted a cheap microphone stolen from a
little Radio Shack, battery powered tape recorder. Then, I drilled a hole
through my parent's AM tabletop radio, mounted a jack in the hole and
soldered wires from the jack to the volume control potentiometer in the
radio.

Turn the tuning dial all the way to one of the stops, turn the volume up
full blast, and instant electric guitar, strumming along with "Telstar".
