You think so? When push comes to shove, I think Hillary might wear the pants (pardon the sexist idiom). Seriously -it makes a lot of sense. Think about it - how is she going to "handle" Bill - answer - she isn't. It will be a defacto Bill Clinton Presidency because he has three times the credibility, such as it is, of Hillary, he's been there/done that, he will be privy to the same information she has and he won't be able to resist the temptation. Sadly, a Hillary Presidency will make the Bush administration look great by comparison. Absurd. Bush is the worst president ever. Either of the Clintons would do a better job. The roadkill I passed early this morning would do a better job. |

Yes, but if you have really good pizza, you can buy all of the above. |

It would be really interesting to read some of the historical accounts and opinions of both B.Clinton and GWB's presidencies 50 years from now when all those whose personal interests are long dead and buried. Unfortunately, most of us won't be here either. Eisboch |

If you're a member of the minority who actually opens a book now and then, pick this up from your library: http://search.barnesandnoble.com/boo...46199575&itm=1 If you know anyone who'll be an airline passenger in the near future, have them steal a few barf bags for you. You'll need them. The book describes how Carter, Reagan and to a lesser extent, Bush-1 totally dropped the ball with regard to keeping certain countries from developing nuclear weapons, mainly because it was expedient to do so. You'll learn how Dick Cheney cooked near-perfect CIA reports so they'd be more useful to the administration. Stuff like that. |

Properly chunked spanish onions. mmmmmm..... You forgot the celery salt and tomato and sweet pickle relish and poppy seed bun and.... The list goes on. And people here still argue about where you get the best this and that, but are in general agreement about some. We haven't mentioned gyros, and I've got a place on Milwaukee avenue that was my favorite. Gyros sliced so thin you could see though it. Mom and pop operation called 3 Sons. Don't know if it's still there, as the old man was getting up in years. But gyros is real manly stuff, and some don't have the stomach for it. Even had me burping for days afterwards. I don't care for gyros - they just don't settle right. :) Speaking of odd things you don't find except for (name the place)... Frozen custard. There's a place out on Greenfield Ave and W. 57th (I'm doing this by memory - it's been a while) in West Allis that has hand made frozen custard. My favorite is French Vanilla second to coffee. To freakin' die for. One of those items you just do not hear about anymore. Frozen Custard used to be on lots of menus. I think the younger generation just has not been introduced to a lot of different foods. Was at a buffet Thursday night in an indian casino in Oroville. Girl asked her mom what an item was. Mom did not know, and when I said Flan, a Mexican Custard, she made a face and said ugg. And it was good flan. Heh - sounds like my youngest boy. If it ain't recognizable, he won't eat it. Which means meat, potatos and certain veggies - peas, corn, string beans, etc. I recognize peas, and unless they are in split pea soup, they should not be eaten. |

I think Obama will win SC with a large black vote which will turn the contest into a race issue. Once that happens there may well be a big backlash for Hillary. -- Red Herring The real problem with a Hillary vs McCain race is the anti-war wild card. They may sink her with a 3d party "Gene McCarthy" sort of candidate. While McCain is the only Republican suitable for and qualified for the White House, I just don't think he is palatable to the GOP base. More and more, I think the GOP nominee will be the expensive empty suit and haircut, Mitt Romney. No one will be easier to beat nationally than Romney, unless it is the candidate from Jesusville, Huckabee. The hard-core hardcore Repubs, now that all the SUPERcons have fallen by the wayside have a masturbatory fantasy of a McCain/Thompson ticket. Great...a really old guy in the White House, backed up by a veep who is actually already dead. No McCain, no way. I've told the state party and the national party they will get no support from me unless and until McCain is out of the race. Dude. Now I have to put you in my Bozo Bin. Um... Do you happen to know where my Bozo Bin is? Damn SWS, the key to a successful Bozo Bin is to set up two accounts. Use one account that you filter (so you can print screen so you can pretend you are filtering someone) and then actually read the other account. It is best if you try to insult the people in your "Bozo Bin" 20-30 times a day. Yeah - ok - fine - good idea. Now, where can I buy a Bozo Bin? I've looked on eBay, Amazon, Wal-Mart, Sams, BJ's, Cosco, Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, Kohls, Kroger and Park n' Shop. No Bozo Bin. I looked in my folders - no Bozo Bin. I feel left out man, totally abandoned. The question should be, "Where can I buy a bin?" Here's an answer: http://tinyurl.com/2f9rs2 The next question should be, "What will I name my bin?" Here's an answer: "the Shortwave's Bin"... Just as Harrys is named, "the Bozo's Bin". -- Red Herring |
