No one in politics is smarter or tougher than the Clintons. I like the

reasons why Hillary so infuriates the Republicans is that she has more
balls than any of them.
No wonder Bill looks elsewhere.

Whatever.

I'm enjoying the GOP race a lot more. What a pack of losers. It's going
to be fun watching the GOP winner be eviscerated. On that possibility
alone, my pick would be Romney the Flipper or Huckabee, the man from
Jesus.

You'd better hope neither of those guys wins the GOP nomination.

Romney or Huckabee?

Both of them will be easy to beat. Romney is an empty suit, and has
flipped on more issues than the cook at IHOP has flipped pancakes.
Huckabee has a bit too much Jesus in him to be elected.

We have a combination of those qualities in the White House right now. The
same toads that voted for that mindless slob will vote for Romney or
Huckabee. You know that. Do you think the 54% has suddenly grown a brain and
a sense of patriotism? Of course not.

It's becoming more and more apparent that Hillary is just the front
for another Bill Clinton Presidency.

Obama is going to beat her for the nomination, but it's going to get
really nasty - and Hillary does nasty very well.

Did you see the "Stare of Death" in the SC debate. I thought she was
going to have a stroke or break out in tears.

I like Obama, and he is the best the Dem's have.

I saw him on CNBC along with Romney this morning - I like his demeanor
and his message. Jack Welsh was a guest host and put Obama and Romney
through some touch questions - Obama handled them well. I don't agree
with him on some things obviously, but he did very well.

Unfortunately, I don't think he really has a clue, but he does have
some very high power advisors so maybe it will work out.

I think the GOP base will get out and vote for its candidate, no matter
how incompetent. The Dems will vote en masse for either Hillary or
Barack, and so will the majority of independents. Whichever party
motivates its base to vote and also captures the majority of Indys wins
the White House this fall.

Actually it's I-94 and Wisconsin 50, just a couple of miles north of

had
a
home on the lake.

Just for fun I Goggled it, low and behold, it's still there after 46
years.

Three things I miss since leaving Chicago area are brats, good pizza
and
Italian beef sandwiches.

http://www.bratstop.com/contact.htm

If you do stop there, have a couple for me.

Thanks, I saved it. You've given me the idea to go to Kenosha
and maybe visit the waterfront. Real quick trip compared to going out
on I-90 to see farms.
You got that right about pizza and Italian beef. I hardly ate brats
until I moved to the suburbs. 'Cause I can't find decent pizza or
Italian beef nearby!

A couple of years ago my 90 year old Aunt in Arlington Hts became
terminally
ill. My brother, from Michigan and I both traveled there to be with her
as
she had no other family. The three weeks I was there much of our dining
was
on pizza and Italian beef. When I arrived home in Florida I jumped on
the
scale only to find I had gained 13 pounds.

Haven't found a decent pizza joint here. There have been a couple of
places
that opened and served pretty good Chicago style Italian beef but
neither
of
them lasted very long.

When I first moved to Florida I walked into a "Italian" pizza restaurant
and
ordered an Italian beef to go. They looked at me like I just fell out of
tree, they had never heard of such a thing. I didn't realize it's a
thing
pretty much unique to Chicago.

Yep.

Another "thing" is ordering pickle on your hot dog. Nice big fat
slice of pickle. And real mustard, not the crap mustard most hot dog
places have. Properly chunked spanish onions.

mmmmmm.....

You forgot the celery salt and tomato and sweet pickle relish and poppy
seed
bun and....- Hide quoted text -

There's plenty of authentic ethnic foods in Florida. It's a whole
industry catering to snowbirds.

I don't know what type of ethnic food you are referring to, but other than
Latin *food stuffs in South Florida I haven't found a wide variety in my
time here. * I'm referring to the raw material to prepare for yourself at
home.- Hide quoted text -

Uh, Florida is one of the largest beef cattle producing states there
is, for one thing. So if you can't get good beef there, I don't know
where you'd get it!

Here's a good place:
http://www.wrightsgourmet.com/Menus/Menus.asp

Toojay's is pretty decent too.

in Dunedin, FL is a great Italian beef place at Tampa Road and U.S.
Hwy 19. It's called Hott Dogg Heaven of all things, but has great
Chicago style dogs and Italian Beef

It sounds like you aren't in the Tampa area, but if you ever get up
there, there's some suggestions for you to try!

'Scuse me for buttin' in.

The catfish place I was talking about in Columbus was 'Pritchett's
Kitchen'. It came to me today.

I don't think Obama will beat her. I think Obama will win SC with a large
black vote which will turn the contest into a race issue. Once that happens
there may well be a big backlash for Hillary.

No thanks.
You should own a bag or two of silver coins if you are looking for
hard money. It is hard to make change for a Krugerrand when you are
buying groceries
While gold and silver can be a valuable hedge against inflation or
a server recession and/or depression, it would have no value if
there was a complete breakdown in government and society. Barter
for real goods and services would be the new coin. Gold only has
value if people believe it has value, the same as with our paper

Gold has been highly valued for thousands of years. If there is a
general collapse, it will be something easily traded for valuable
goods and services.

What's the smallest denomination you can buy these days?

I have no idea. I just buy Krugerrands and Canadian Maple Leafs in the
one troy ounce of gold size, but I think you can buy Krugerrands in
1/10th ounce and other sizes. The Maple Leafs are "purer," if you will.
Both are recognized and accepted anywhere. The face value is not really
relevant, just the weight in troy ounces. I started "collecting" them in
1992, when they became "legal" again.

Try
www.monex.com if you want to learn a bit about gold, silver and
other "valuable" metal coins.

How many of these gold coins are you going to use to acquire a sack of
potatoes?

Harry,
He was making a joke about the concept of trading using gold when our
society collapses. You are so into this survivalist concept it went
