I agree with you. Renewed interest in small, less expensive boats will result in small, more expensive boats. ROTFL!!! Goodp point. Dude - you close on the Navigator? Buyer is still waiting for the oil sample report. I figured after our pleasure-filled January boat ride, he changed his mind on the way home and bought a RV instead. LOL! Jeeze - I would figure with all the rush from the brokers, you'd have that by now. |

The samples were not sent to the lab until Monday or Tuesday of last week, so I guess that's not unusual. Right now I've been busy rebuilding and refurbishing a Rock-Ola juke box. Don't even bother asking why. They *are* amazing though .... 360 watt RMS stereo amp and connections for everything under the sun. Eisboch |

We bought it in Florida when we had the house down there. It is a used, commercial unit that was taken out of service and refurbished. (It plays CD's .... not records). When it was moved back up here it got sorta banged around and nothing worked. I've been slowly going through it, learning about it as I go. The mechanical mechanisms are pretty cool, but the electronics in them are wild. It has a computer that memorizes every song on every track of the loaded CD's. It holds about 100 I think. Big ass amp, surround sound hookups, paging, even high voltage (70 volt) speaker hookups for use in a store or mall. I told Mrs.E that when it finally dies for good, I am going to strip it of all the amps, speakers, etc. It's an electronic junk lover's delight. Eisboch |

I almost bought a replica a few years ago, but backed out - can't remember why. Since, I've seen a few here and there. Didn't know the details - now I do. Hmmm - have to look around for one. It would go great in my office. |

Soon, ETEC will rule the world!!! MMMUUUUUUAAAWWWWAAAAHHHHHAAAAAA!!!!! All this with hardly any sales and very few dealers. eBay? Of course Harry - you would know. 90% of the outboards on display were ETECs at Boston. Setting up at the CMTA show yesterday, mostly ETECs. A few Verados, very few Yamahas. Only the stuck in the mud, Lego built Parkers were wedded to Yamaha. Ancient technology - move up to the real world Harry - go ETEC. You know you want to. :) There are fewer eTecs on the water around here than Suzukis, and there are very few Suzukis. If eTecs are so great, why are so few of them being sold? Because people in Maryland and Virginia don't have a clue? ETEC is making a real penetration in the four stroke market up here - you are seeing more and more of them as the smarter folks actually look into it and see that Yamaha - well, no other way to put it - is largely made in China, less efficient, less power-to-weight ratio and, frankly, suck. :) Heh, heh, heh... VE VILL RULE ZA VORLD!!! I doubt the rule the za world stuff. The motor is too complicated for lots of the world. Why you see Yamaha 2 and 4 strokes and Honda's in Central and South America. And other remote places. Seeing more Etec around here and couple of guys I know that have them really like them. But the Ficht F'up and the fact a bunch of people got stucking holding the bag when Warrantee's went away, leaves a bad taste and worry with buyers. Until there is 10 years or so of Etec history of little failure and the company is going to be in business, the sales are going to be small. |

Wife decided it did not go with the room design. Oh, well I have 1/2 the garage and the boat. |

PS: Not my fault by the way. If the morons want to play that way, that's their problem - not mine. I was just pointing out what the Parker dealer said when I asked the question. which seemed to run counter to what some of the bay boaters were postulating. The thing the struck me most about the Parkers at the last 2 boat shows, is the ugly color. Looks like an old yellowed gel coat. The 30-40 year old look is actually OK with me, but the color is a killer. As to the look, we had a twin o/b 23' Magnolia cuddy Cabin in about 1959-1962 range. Very similar look and maybe because of the good times on that boat, always thought it was a nice design. An open back cabin to get out of the weather and a nice open, decent sized deck in the back for fishing. And the open back cabin was more an extension of the fishing deck. |

At one time the "off white", sorta beige or dull yellow color was desirable and many boats, including Hatteras were done with it. It reduces the sun glare. At some point the industry decided that bright white was prettier, and the yellow died out. Reminds me of my father's 1955 Dodge Royal Lancer. When I was a kid I tried polishing the hood because it looked dull compared to the rest of the car. My dad got BS with me, despite my good intentions, because Dodge painted them with a dull finish on the hood to reduce glare. Eisboch |

Although that boat was built like a tank and we had great times on it I never really liked it compared to a true white. Just looks yellowed out. Have a friend with an Albin. Green hull, very nice looking. If a different non white was used. Maybe a Pearle like the Cadillac's use. |
