Arrgh...snow and rain. No Virginia Beach fishing trip this week.

Anyway, got a photo of another West Coast Parker with a tuna tower.
Don't see many of these tower-equipped small boats in these here parts.

Guy who runs her has an Airmar B-260 transducer, an 80-gallon bait tank,
and goes out 75 miles for albacore fishing.

I'd be curious where he has that transducer mounted on that boat.

It is a little huge for a thru-hull on that size of boat, but I
suspect that would be one of the preferred models.

They make two fairings for that model - standard and high performance.
The High Performance fairing is the preferred fairing for boats under
26' in length according to marine electronics types. Apparently you
get more water flow past the transducer on planing hulls with it.

Finding good water at plane, though? Location location, location.....

Well, that's really the question - where would you put it?

It's probably at or near the stern I would think. I believe that is
an older 2520 XL Sport Cabin as Parker, finally, got wise to the open
transom and starting building boats properly with full transoms.

Even with the more moderate 16 degree deadrise, it's got to be hard to
position properly.
