More details regarding Chaparral sinking
Many people probably remember the widely publicized incident of last
April, when a four day old Chaparral boat sank at the dock. Among other charges, the owner of the boat was wailing at the time that: "The company never even apologized!" Several months later, it seems that the boat owner is willing to admit that the company did apologize- immediately after the fact and more than once. Also, the customer apparently refused the use of a "loaner" offered to him so that he could go boating during the 24 days it took Chaparral to build and deliver a brand new replacement boat.
