Default New Orleans Boat Show

Spent a few hours at the NOLA Boat Show today. Not much to report. I
was disappointed that there were no sailboats at all. But there was a
fair selection of powerboats and turned out to be a decent way to kill
a Saturday morning.
The only thing that actually grabbed my attention and in fact made me
laugh out loud, was a couple of Grady White models, both around 30' or
a little more, that had of all things, bow thrusters lol! I couldn't
believe my eyes. Sort of one of those "you've GOT to be kiddin' me"
moments. I guess they're for guys that have otherwise run completely
out of ways to spend their money. Neither of these boats would be
considered overly cumbersome by anyone's standards, both already had
twin engines and, as if that weren't manuverable enough.... bow
thrusters! With a real tunnel ... just like a friggin' luxury yacht!
LoL!
.... oh well... to each his own I suppose ;-)

But, I agree, at 30 feet thrusters are really more of a toy to play with.

Eisboch,
Some of us are just amateurs playing with toys, you would be considered
a professional. It isn't fair for the pros to compete with the
amateurs.
