It's the do as I say, not as I do thing that makes me nervous.

I've seen other reports from news sources about his various
proclivities including cigar smoking in public.

Chee-zitz huh?

Dayyyyummmm. He's clearly unqualified for anything important. You
are what you eat. Who the heck wants to be a chee-zit.

Are you talking about banning smoking in bars and restaurants? That's
a good thing. No one should have to tolerate smoking in a public
place. It's offensive and the risks are well documented.

Don't got to that bar. I hate rap music so I don't go to bars in
Dunbar. (risk a lot higher)

The problem is that bars don't want to lose business or be "bad guys".
Therefore they will not voluntarily ban smoking, not any of them.

You've been watching too many '24' reruns.

What a trashy program that is. Blech.

What people find entertaining is subjective. Why must you always ****
on anything that you don't happen to like?

I guess you *are* new here. Welcome, Sally!

My wife, she has a three box a week habit. Won't eat any other cheese
cracker either. And, she has transferred this habit to my kids.

Well, it does speak to the point doesn't it? :)

Besides, I like Cheez-its myself.

I also like Triscuits and Ritz crackers.

My only point is that the potential is there, that potential is as bad
as any of the other so called "agents of change" and that bothers me.

Bloomberg is much less abrasive and opinionated than Perot. I met
Ross once at a fancy sailing party in Bermuda. He has a really nice

Perot was very businesslike and I answered all his questions with "we
did that" but he was still an asshole who I knew hated my beard ...
FKM ! ... same thing I told IBM for 26 years.

Ran into that when I got out of the Navy and went to work in the steel
mills. Grew a beard, and had managers tell me it was a fire hazard.
Told them their clothes were the same hazard, and when they went naked
I'd cut off my beard. I know I got a traffic ticket once because of
that beard. 1968 Chicago was probably a bad time for me to grow a
beard, but that's how it worked out. Reminds me something Ed said.
He was a WWII vet I worked with at IH while the Dem convention was
going on. "One 500-pounder would take care of them ****ing hippies."
Even though I was on his side, I did think that was a bit harsh.
Those EDSers were the para-militarys of consulting. We'd joke about
them sometimes, but they were generally good. Wasn't their choice
what to wear. When I was consulting for CGA had an account manager
suggest I would look good in a 3-piece. Since my client only required
tie and sports coat, I suggested to the account manager that he take
me shopping for a 3-piece, or put a bonus in my check.
Never ever wore a 3-piece, which was the EDS uniform.
