Skipping over the crap...
....and I stopped plowing through the 100+ post here today after reading
a couple... Today was a fabulous day out on the Shenandoah River. It was raining lightly most of the way out there, but as soon as we got to Front Royal, Va, and headed south on Route 340, the skies cleared, the sun starting shining and it warmed right up. Got to the cabin about 10 am and we were able to launch four canoes with two man crews for what turned out to be an approximately four mile paddle/ride race. Amazingly, none of the canoes tipped over, despite what looked like some serious efforts to help them over. The river was pretty high, but not running that fast. The water was cold and clear. After lunch, we had our clays and target shooting competition, with enough firearms present to take over a small Central American country. I actually blew off four boxes of 25 12-gauge shells, 100 rounds of 9mm, 50 rounds of .22LR, and messed around with two mags of .40 S&W, and a few dozen rounds on an AR 15 (aka a "black rifle), and a few other miscellaneous firearms. Got to try out my new Ruger "cowboy" revolver, too, My ears are still ringing, and I wore ear plugs and silencing headphones. No injuries! Beautiful day. Glad I missed almost sll the crap that the righties threw here today. -- George W. Bush - the 43rd Best President Ever! |

I don't know if our little canoes can accommodate wheel-chair bound ballast. Besides, despite the political differences of our little group, we all get along. Mixing in a turd like Herring might upset the delicate balance. Someone might accidently shoot him. |
