Every new home and every change to existing homes’ central heating and air conditioning systems will required to be fitted with a PCT beginning next year following the issuance of the revision. Each PCT will be fitted with a “non-removable ” FM receiver that will allow the power authorities to increase your air conditioning temperature setpoint or decrease your heater temperature setpoint to any value they chose. During “price events” those changes are limited to +/- four degrees F and you would be able to manually override the changes. During “emergency events” the new setpoints can be whatever the power authority desires and you would not be able to alter them." In other words, the temperature of your home will no longer be yours and will be overridden by the state of California through its public and private utility organizations. All your thermostats are belong to us. And you find this more reprehensible than say, telling your wife she has no choice but to carry her baby full term? Do you think your wife would rather have a say in what happens inside her body or the temperature of her thermostat. The thermostat idea is a proposal. The other is something your party would like to impose on all human females. American Taliban pointing at controlling thermostats as a problem? Figures. And this is a perfect example of why all left coast liberals should be rounded up and shot. Equating murdering babies with thermostat control. Or better yet, make a sport out of it - say ten points a liberal moron every time one makes such a stupid and worthless comparison. 100 bonus points if you can get them before they utter it. |

Do you remember when the low flow toilets became law? Do you know what everyone crossing the border from Canada into the US had in the trunk of their cars? The high flow toilets still being manufactured in Canada. If the thermostat idiocy goes into law you will see a rise in on-line purchases from out of state retailers of non-big-brothered thermostats. It cost as much to replace the lid as it would have cost to buy a whole new low volume toilet. Why - supply versus demand. 'Low volume' is an oxymoron for those toilets anyway.
