I was having trouble with the Central server. Switched to the
cox.west.news and problems are gone.

I switched from east to west witch worked for a while, but then west went
to hell also. I tried central, but it did nothing. Now I'm back on east and
it seems to be doing fine.

Maybe it was just overloaded.
