Mexican
market for the Christmas Eve Tamales. Pretty cool.

Merry Christmas dude.

You will like tha unit - it's a nice one.

Merry Christmas to all the gang here.
Last night I loaded my new Topo Canada map software on my computer from the
CDs and then transfered to my Garmin GPSMAP 60CX.
The GPS indicates the Topo mapping is there but I can only get the base map
to show on the screen. D'oh!
I'll try Garmin on-line for help because I won't bother going to the
Binnacle until Friday. Our stores are closed Wednesday and the big Boxing
Day sales take place Thursday the 27th.

Hoo ra! Remembered that you have to draw a box around the area you want to
transfer. Just did it and all looks well. Trouble is, they only give you a
small memory card with the 60 model, so I can only load the Maritime
Provinces topographical maps in addition to the Blue marine charts I
installed in November.
Looks like I'll be buying a 1 gig card in the near future.

And back atcha!

After Christmas Mass we opened gifts while drinking Asti mimosa's, eating
cinnamon sticky buns and listening to Christmas music. Turkey is in the
oven (my son wanted a turkey and stuffing as he was at Camp Lejeune on
TGiving). Just the 2 kids, Mrs. H and myself at the house today.

We had a great Christmas Eve at my sisters house. Great
pasta/sausage/meatball dinner. Gift exchange with the kids and then a
"White Elephant" gift exchange with everyone. The entire family (all 18 of
us) had a great time together.

I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays as much as I am. ;-)

Likewise.

I got a pair of engraved Vaqueros in a presentation box.

Well, actually, I got the box. And a certificate.

I have to go fill out the federal and Maryland forms tomorrow and then
wait 10 days. :}

How narcissistic of you! Sounds like that $1500 office chair that
morphed into an Office Max $39.99 special in your picture.

IF it's true, they are damn ugly firearms and well suited to a limited run.

Probably no savings on the next car. then I will inherit the GPS for the
truck. Looking at a Saturn Vue Hybrid for her next car.

Buy a 2 gig. One I got for my 76 csx was only about $30 at the local Fry's
electronics.

Hmmmm.... $250 - $50 in merchandise = $200.... How is that MORE than $218
even with tax on the $250. (BTW.. I bought the same 200W from
west...best deal going!!)

West may be a little pricier on some items (Compared to the internet) but
my boats would not float without them. I will pay for customer service
and convenience because if we don't support our local stores they will go
out of business then where do we go when we are ready to leave the dock
and something breaks. BTW... I live in Fort Lauderdale where we have more
marine competion than ANYWHERE in the USA... 7 West stores in Broward
county alone along with at least 15 competitor stores and I still find
west to be the least expensive over all and the most helpful (over all)
Maybe it is just in SFL but most of the people in the store are actual
boaters.

Mike wrote:
Sometimes, I pay more just for sheer convenience... West Marine is one of
those cases... 31 bucks... big deal. The wife is happy.

Merry Christmas.

Return it right after Xmas and get a refund.

$218 with no tax or shipping from Buy.com.

Use the difference in ANY store, not just overpriced Waste Marine.

I found what I wanted for Christmas at Best Buy,
but she wouldn't stop screaming obscenities while
we were scanning her and forcing her into the bag!

How was I s'posed ta know associate girls weren't
on sale?

They have a greater hardware selection than anyone else in the area. Helps
to have that available.

I did a quick look and couldn't find the GPS as an accessory for the Vue.
Does it come with one? When I bought the wife the Highlander, the
'Navigation System' was in the $2000 range. Her Garmin was in the $300
range, and she's very happy with it.
