The dangers of a LT boat.

Remember the "old days" when the low transom DIDN'T dump directly into
the
boat, but into a self-bailing well over the portable gas tank and
battery?

I guess that was too expensive for today's bubble bloat manufacturers to
pay for.

Don't know about that. I have that setup in my Yukon 15, an open aluminum
boat.

That's a lake boat, dip****.

Maybe for girliemen, wanna be boaters.
Up here we sail the North Atlantic on less than that.

Hey - that's a nice looking boat.

Where did you get it?

From some motley character in the backwoods of Maine. ;-)

Careful now. *There are people here who associate low transoms with
low self esteem and will lash out against those who point out the
dangers to the inexperienced.

You know what they say, Wayne: big boat=small dick, and since you have
the biggest boat in here, you must also have the smallest dick.

Harry,
Did your dick grow when you sold your Hatteras?

Yeah, hot off the press *news*...........the incident happened in June.

But hey, at least I admitted my soldier training thread was a

Merry Christmas Reggie.

JimH, are you telling us that this was a 'troll', just to start an
argument? You would actually use your own son to do that?

You continue to prove the total accuracy of Tom's assessment of you!

************************************************** ******
No offense but I need for you to explain.

We picked up my son today at the airport as he begins his 14 day leave,
although most of his time will be spent in uniform as a recruiters
assistant.

He had been at Ft/Camp Leonard Wood, MO for the past several weeks, idle
time after his several weeks of combat training at Camp Lejeune and before
his MOS training starting at the Camp on 1/4/08.

What surprised him was the fact that Army recruits in initial training
(they
are already called soldiers, not recruits) at the Camp were given the same
time off even though they were in the middle of their 9 week initial
training (the USMC calls that time basic training and is 13 weeks long
followed by 5 weeks or so of combat training).

On the other hand the USMC recruits in the midst of their 13 week basic
training on both coasts at this time of year get no time off during this
Christmas season and continue on with their training. In fact, they never
get time off during this basic training.

While I appreciate the support the US Army provides us..........what gives
with the soft Army training?

Ahh, it's Whine... Isn't it time for you to make another dangerous sea
voyage, say from where you are along the canal to, say, Stuart? Maybe
along the way, you'll blow another transmission. Once can hope.
