You don't like being taken to the cleaners as a result of a "secret"
national energy policy and collusion between "big oil" and the Arab
states?

Lyndon Larouche IS alive and well and living in Virginia.

Which, now that I think about it, is true.

Check the date Harry.

It doesn't matter...we're headed for $4.00 a gallon gasoline.

$2.64 at the corner gas stations today.

mmm let's see... local price of $1.13 per liter x 3.78 = $4.27 an
American gallon.
Been there, done that! What makes it even worse, our loonie is worth
slightly more than the American dollar.

But you get free medical care.

Doesn't everyone in the civilized world?

Free?

Hell yes! Provided you give the government enough money for it.

Interestingly, we pay for universal health care for all Iraqis and
Afghans, but the SOB in the White House thinks the SCHIP program is
too
expensive. What a country!

No, he thinks (and rightfully so) that the program should not cover
folks
having the financial means to purchase their own health insurance.

In Canada you aren't allowed to pay for preferential treatment...

That's in flux... there are private clinics in this province offering
various services and people are always free to hop over the border.
The big problem is the Federal gov't balancing it's budget and creating
surpluses by not keeping up with their share of the costs.- Hide quoted

Don,
Where do you think the federal goverment is going to get the money?

They already have it, and it seems to get larger each year.

Duh yeah! That's because the federal gov't keeps cutting it's pecentage
share of the medical expense. At one time is was close to 'alf & 'alf with
the provinces. Now it dropped to something less than 20%.

It seems to me that the provinces need to raise their taxes.

It isn't the middle east. It's the dependence on foreign oil. When the
oil dollars flow, they all get corrupt.

Think Chavez.

I can solve the dependence upon foreign oil problem.

Dig into your own pocket and pay for your own wants and needs. If you
can't afford your own wants and needs then don't expect me to pay for
them, I am paying for my own.
