My dad was in a mummers "crew" or club in Philly, where he grew up, and
marched around in a silly feathered costume and played a uke. The mummers
used to be a part of the macy's parade many years ago.


Remember them well from my childhood. Those feathered head dresses were
something to behold. I often wondered how they would hold up in a good
breeze.

60s.
