Default Captain's Models

About a year and a half ago I ordered a handmade model of Mrs.E's GB. It
has taken a little longer to be built due to circumstances beyond control
of the model builder. I got an email notice today that it is just about
complete and he sent a couple of pictures. It was worth waiting for, I
think.

He told me that the base in the picture is temporary. The one being
shipped with the model was in the drying oven when he snapped the
pictures.

I forget how long it is exactly, but it's something like 2.5-3 feet or
thereabouts.

Just in time for Christmas for Mrs.E.

Very nice.

Is the flag to scale? It seems big.

No, it's very accurate to the one on the real boat. It has a big flag. He
requests a bunch of pictures of your boat, taken from various angles and to
show any unique fixtures or equipment you may have. He then tries to
duplicate it as accurately as he can, even down to the font type for the
quarterboard nameplates and transom name and hailing port. He missed one
item that I noticed, but it's not a big deal.
