I have vague recollections of listening to the Lone Ranger on radio.
But, by far the favorite of my youth was:

Lone Ranger, Hopalong Cassidy, Superman, Sky King, Mighty Mouse...all were
TV hero's with an ethic. Now it's the Simpsons and Bevis and Butthead.

Ok. What's this?

"I believe that to have a friend, a man must be one.

That all men are created equal and that everyone
has within himself the power to make this a better world.

That God put the firewood there but that every
man must gather and light it himself.

In being prepared physically, mentally, and morally to
fight when necessary for that which is right.

That a man should make the most of what equipment he has.

That 'This government, of the people, by the people and
for the people' shall live always.

That men should live by the rule of what is best for the greatest number.

That sooner or later... somewhere...somehow...
we must settle with the world and
make payment for what we have taken.

That all things change but truth, and that truth alone, lives on forever.
In my Creator, my country, my fellow man."

The Lone Ranger....

..... but my favorite was Hopalong Cassidy!

I still enjoy Rifleman when I catch it. Always a moral for Mark to
learn.

Sure, one of my favs. Dark. Richard Boone loafing.
I think Wanted: Dead or Alive was on about the same years, and
Gunsmoke, maybe Colt .45, Cheyenne... "where will you be camping
tonight." Lot's of Westerns then.

George Reeves.

Haven't thought about that one in years.

My favorite was Johnny Dollar. And when an unknown cousin of the wife died,
we ended up with some of her dads stuff. Original Script from Bulldog
Drummond. He wrote a couple of them.

I still watch the Gunsmoke re-runs. You never see the early ones with
"Chester" though.
