Boat heating experiment
This morning is the coldest this season ... 18 degrees right now .... and
it's still very comfortable here in the Navigator. I turned the heat down last night in all but the master stateroom. I woke up only to find it getting too warm, so I turned it'sthermostat down a bit. The main cabin and pilot house area was a little nippy in the morning ... 56 degrees. Turned the heaters up a bit and now, a couple of hourse later it's a nice, toasty 70 degrees inside and 18 degrees outside. Not bad. Eisboch |

Stopped last April and started enjoying real food, ice cream and some Coor's Light once in a while. No Samuel Adams beer though, regretfully. I've re-gained about 20 of the 65 lbs that I had lost last winter, but still feel pretty good. I'll start the program again on January 1st and get back to under 200 again, although it's a bit too light for me according to the doc and Mrs.E. Eisboch |

I still don't like it, though, but the pain lessens with time. |

We use a combination of both on the GB49. (currently anchored south of St Augustine near Matanzas Inlet.) |

You're in a great spot for flounder, sea trout and reds. |

Four reverse cycles, one of which (the master stateroom) is equipped with the electric heating option. You can use it as a heat pump or electric heater, but not at the same time. But ... I am attempting to keep the boat warm without using any of the reverse cycle systems. I am insulating windows and trying to heat with space heaters set at half their max wattage. At some point the water will be too cold for extracting heat. Eisboch |
