Myth busted.....

We've all heard the story about the new Bayliner owner that launched
his boat with the trailer still attached.

I've always put that somewhat in the area of an urban myth.

Now, I'm not so sure.....

Was that Lake Lanier in the background? Damn, that lake has lost some
water. This morning's news said Lanier was now at it's lowest since 1981. I
wonder what Global Warming trend caused it to be so low then?

Who told you that the lake level in Lanier is due to global warming,
John?

Dance is the remaining one of five TV fishing hosts I've love to meet.

Met two at the former Ranger dealership in Jax, met one down in the
Keys, met one in Miami.

I'm not a big fan of bassfishing, but I'd sure love to go out and learn
from Bill Dance.

These guys aren't that hard to meet, by the way. Mostly it is a matter
of schedules.

Did you see the Mythbusters that did this one?

Turns out that the story is actually true. Only the person did it on
purpose to move the trailer from the launch ramp to his back yard on
the lake - he couldn't get the trailer in the back yard for storage
any other way.

I thought *any* natural disaster was due to GW(B). Tell me I'm wrong.

I'm worried that Falls Lake in NC is going to dry up. Then I'll have wasted
money on my new boat.

I thought it was nearly there.

Lake Lanier is low due to an extended drought.
There's an enormous difference between global cliimate and local
weather. :-)

So we have you on record that the extended drought is not associated
with Global Taxing (warming) in your opinion? Leaves me wondering if
it is not related to this huge, somewhat historic event, I have a lot
more questions for you...
