Default Yesterday in History...

"Moby Dick" was published in New York City in 1851.

Other than that, nothing happened Yesterday in History.

Ah, yes. One of the best books about man's relationship to the diefied
supernatural ever written, and disguised as a rollicking good sea
story to boot. :-)

If you like Moby Dick, then you should read "In the Heart of the Sea"
The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex by Nathaniel Philbrick.
The tragic story of the whaleship Essex and her crew is the real life
event that inspired Herman Melville to write his renowned 19th century
classic.
Just be prepared for the shocking events of the survivors.

Great book.

"Sea of Glory" is also a good one and I just purchased "Mayflower"
which is turning into a real page turner.
