Saw an article about it, that is cool. Being a young gearhead at the
time, I loved the movie, and the car!

Taste is so subjective. I find these 'stangs garish, overpowered,
hard-riding, and inelegant.

Of course, I wouldn't buy a boat finished in metal-flake! :}

I have to say I really like the Mustangs. A few weeks ago when my
wife and I went to CA to do Napa Valley, we rented a drop-top V6
Mustang, and it was OK. We drove from Napa, through SF, did 17 Mile
Drive, then the Pacific Coast Highway #1 all the way to San Luis
Obispo. The base Mustang, on all season tires, handled the trip very
well.

I can see where a V8 with better tires and suspension bits would be a
blast!

Have you ever seen a Super Snake? The guys in the link below were
custom building Eleanors for big bucks. Not any more, it seems.

Yep. Knew about that little "problem" too.

Well, I'm a 'Vette guy, but certain Mustangs make me drool.

This is one of them.

Well I wouldn't buy a boat with half a transom - so there. :)

Do you drive it? If not I'd be happy to stop by and warm up the tires
for you once in a while.

The new GT *is* an absolute blast. The PCH would be loads of fun in it. I
loved the way mine accelerated, cornered, etc. But, I'm almost 6'4", and
weigh about 195. On a six hour trip on the interstate, I started hurting
badly, in the hips. No amount of adjustment would help. I sold the car
within a week.

My 4Runner is much more comfortable, has good acceleration, but doesn't
corner like a sports car. It *will*, however, pull the boat!
