I have to say I really like the Mustangs. A few weeks ago when my wife and I went to CA to do Napa Valley, we rented a drop-top V6 Mustang, and it was OK. We drove from Napa, through SF, did 17 Mile Drive, then the Pacific Coast Highway #1 all the way to San Luis Obispo. The base Mustang, on all season tires, handled the trip very well. I can see where a V8 with better tires and suspension bits would be a blast! Have you ever seen a Super Snake? The guys in the link below were custom building Eleanors for big bucks. Not any more, it seems. http://cbs11tv.com/topstories/local_...309192500.html The new GT *is* an absolute blast. The PCH would be loads of fun in it. I loved the way mine accelerated, cornered, etc. But, I'm almost 6'4", and weigh about 195. On a six hour trip on the interstate, I started hurting badly, in the hips. No amount of adjustment would help. I sold the car within a week. My 4Runner is much more comfortable, has good acceleration, but doesn't corner like a sports car. It *will*, however, pull the boat! Stop by and try my X5. The best of both worlds! 350HP and a 6000# towing capacity. Dan |
